About Joan Browner, Ph.D.

Dr. Browner has been a licensed psychologist since 1994. After receiving her Ph.D. in clinical psychology, she had advanced training in the clinical skills to improve the emotional health of children, adolescents and adults. Following a two year post-doctoral fellowship at the prestigious Reiss-Davis Child Study Center in Los Angeles, she specialized in therapy for children and adolescents. In 1995, she became the Training Director of the Psychological and Educational Diagnostic Services Program at the Reiss Davis Child Study Center. Dr. Browner taught and trained post doctoral students in the understanding of learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder and psychological testing. She had been the P.E.D.S. Training Director at Reiss Davis from 1995 through 2012. In addition, Dr. Browner was the Vice President of Valley Counseling from 1994-2010. She provided both psychotherapy and assessment for her patients as well as being responsible for the clinical training program. Currently, she has a private practive in Encino, California.
